Entrance Hymn: Praise to You, O Christ Our Savior (RS 702)

Praise to you, O Christ, our Savior, Word of the Father, calling us to life;
Son of God who leads us to freedom: glory to you, Lord Jesus Christ!

You are the Word who calls us out of darkness;
You are the Word who leads us into light;
You are the Word who brings us through the desert:
Glory to you, Lord Jesus Christ!

You are the one whom prophets hoped and longed for;
You are the one who speaks to us today;
You are the one who leads us to our future;
Glory to you, Lord Jesus Christ!

You are the Word who calls us to be servants;
You are the Word whose only law is love;
You are the Word made flesh who lives among us:
Glory to you, Lord Jesus Christ!

You are the Word who binds us and unites us;
You are the Word who calls us to be one;
You are the Word who teaches us forgiveness:
Glory to you, Lord Jesus Christ!

Scripture Readings (external link): Saturday of the 27th Week in Ordinary Time

Responsorial: Psalm 97

R: Rejoice in the Lord, you just!

Preparation Hymn: O God, You Search Me (RS 688)

O God, you search me and you know me.
All my thoughts lie open to your gaze.
When I walk or lie down you are before me:
Ever the maker and keeper of my days.

You know my resting and my rising.
You discern my purpose from afar,
And with love everlasting you besiege me:
In ev’ry moment of life or death, you are.

Before a word is on my tongue, Lord,
You have known its meaning through and through.
You are with me beyond my understanding:
God of my present, my past and future, too.

Although your Spirit is upon me,
Still I search for shelter from your light.
There is nowhere on earth I can escape you:
Even the darkness is radiant in your sight.

For you created me and shaped me,
Gave me life within my mother’s womb.
For the wonder of who I am, I praise you:
Safe in your hands, all creation is made new.

Communion Hymn: Litany of Peace

God of love, your gift of peace is planted
deep within our hearts:

Make me an instrument of your peace.
Make me an instrument of your peace.

God of peace, wherever there is hatred,
may we bring your love:

May we bring your hope and gladness
where despair and sadness are:

May we seek to understand another
with a patient heart:

Faithful God, wherever there is darkness,
may we bring your light:

God of mercy, help us to forgive
when there is injury done:

Gracious God, whenever people hunger,
may we fill their need:

Set us free from all our fear and anger;
set us free to love:

Exposition & Adoration: O Salutaris (RS 179)

O salutáris hóstia,
Quae caeli pandis óstium:
Bella premunt hostília,
Da robur fer auxílium.

Uni trinóque Dómino
Sit sempitérna glória:
Qui vitam sine término
Nobis donet in pátria.

Exposition & Adoration: There Is a Longing (RS 771)

There is a longing in our hearts, O Lord,
For you to reveal yourself to us
There is a longing in our hearts for love
We only find in you, our God.

For justice, for freedom, for mercy:
hear our prayer.
In sorrow, in grief:
be near, hear our prayer, O God.

For wisdom, for courage, for comfort:
hear our prayer.
In weakness, in fear:
be near, hear our prayer, O God.

For healing, for wholeness, for new life:
hear our prayer.
In sickness, in death:
be near, hear our prayer, O God.

Lord save us, take pity,
light in our darkness.
We call you, we wait:
be near, hear our prayer, O God.

Benediction: Holy God, We Praise Thy Name (RS 705)

Holy God, we praise thy name!
Lord of all, we bow before thee;
All on earth thy scepter claim,
All in heav’n above adore thee;
Infinite thy vast domain,
Everlasting is thy reign.
Infinite thy vast domain,
Everlasting is thy reign.

Hark! the loud celestial hymn
Angel choirs above are raising;
Cherubim and Seraphim
In unceasing chorus praising,
Fill the heav’ns with sweet accord:
Holy, holy, holy Lord!
Fill the heav’ns with sweet accord:
Holy, holy, holy Lord!

Holy Father, Holy Son,
Holy Spirit, Three we name thee,
While in essence only One,
Undivided God we claim thee,
And adoring bend the knee,
While we own the mystery.
And adoring bend the knee,
While we own the mystery.

Procession: Hail, Holy Queen Enthroned Above (RS 979)

Hail, holy Queen enthroned above, O Maria.
Hail, Queen of mercy and of love, O Maria.
Triumph, all ye Cherubim,
Sing with us, ye Seraphim,
Heav’n and earth resound the hymn:
Salve, Salve, Salve, Regina.

The cause of joy to all below, O Maria.
The spring through which all graces flow, O Maria.
Angels, all your praises bring,
Earth and heaven, with us sing,
All creation echoing:
Salve, Salve, Salve, Regina.

O gentle, loving, holy one, O Maria.
The God of light became your Son, O Maria.
Triumph, all ye Cherubim,
Sing with us, ye Seraphim,
Heav’n and earth resound the hymn:
Salve, Salve, Salve, Regina.

Text: Salve, Regina, mater misericordia; c.1080; tr. Roman Hymnal, 1884; st. 2-3 adapt. by M. Owen Lee, CSB, b.1930. Reprinted with permission under ONE LICENSE License #A-727305.
