Committee Volunteers Needed for Habitat
It’s that time of year again, another Habitat Catholic House to build for a needy family. As a reminder, Habitat is not a giveaway program: In addition to a down payment and the monthly mortgage payments, homeowners invest hundreds of hours of their own labor -- sweat equity -- into building their Habitat house and the houses of others.And, that doesn’t happen without the dedication and planning of our various committee members. Long before any nails are pounded, Catholic House volunteers help with Fund raising, phone calling, and soliciting for lunch meals/money to feed the Saturday building volunteers. Our current committee members need additional volunteers to help them with their various tasks. If you can spare a few hours each week to help please call:
Sr. Joanne Caniglia (mth_caniglia@online.emich.edu, 734-487-0412) raise needed funds or gifts-in-kind;
Barb Pott (bpott@csswashtenaw.org, 734-971-9781 x352) volunteer database and phone calling efforts;
Laura Stimpson (stimpsl@dominos.com, 734-649-2709) contact individuals and businesses to donate lunch meals/money.They have done a marvelous job in the past, but they need help!
Please visit us at our March 3 meeting for more details.Thank you, Steve Polgar, Catholic House Leader <CatholicHouse@catholicweb.com> (734-485-1300)
