On Saturday (Sept 28) despite an absence of many requested volunteers, we were able to make progress on the painting and outside porch work.  All interior walls are painted and just doors and woodwork require final coats of paint.  Minimal work remains on the side porch prior to painting and staining.  Some baseboard molding was installed and some bathroom fixtures were hung.  Kathy Burns and Laura Stimpson delivered lunch.  Hamburgers and sausages were barbequed for us by Kathy, everything tasted great.  Through the week the electricians will finish their work by installing all the plugs, switches, plates, light fixtures, etc.; the heating plant and accessories will be installed, and the kitchen and bathroom countertops and sinks will be installed.  Thanks again to all the returning volunteers.

Thanks,
