On Saturday, June 22, despite a relatively small crew, volunteers shoveled dirt in preparation for the front porch install, continued assembling the shed, set the gable end walls and installed all the trusses.  Sister Joanne Caniglia brought donuts and juice for us to start our day.  Sister Joanne left before noon and returned with pizza, salads, pop and cold water, donated by St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. John the Baptist, Ypsilanti.  Thank you very much.  Next week, Pat Walters & Sons Heating and Cooling of Ypsilanti will install the furnace and ductwork they are donating to the Catholic House.  Volunteers will install roof boards and hopefully the tar paper and shingles will be started.  Thanks again to the volunteers who braved stifling heat and humidity this Saturday, they even stayed an extra hour to finish the job!

Thanks,
