Saint Francis, Beloved of Christ and Patron of our Parish:
We beseech your intercession and prayer for our community
as we celebrate this month dedicated to your honor.
Strengthen the faith and commitment of all our parish members,
deepen the bonds of community, and grant us
a true spirit of sharing and self-sacrifice.
Teach us by your example to forsake the passing things of this world
and embrace the true and eternal things of heaven.
Help us to be instruments of true peace, bringing love, joy,
and hope into our broken and fragmented world.
Through your intercession, we pray that our hearts might be
filled with the fiery, gentle power of Christ’s love so that all
our actions and words might bring comfort to those in need.
Learning from your example and teachings, may we too
become signs of God’s love: bringing forth Christ’s
presence in our homes and community.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ,
who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever.  Amen.
