Want to make a minor contribution of your time that
could
Make a Major Difference for a St. Francis Family?
In our community, who amongst us doesn't know someone
who has recently lost a job, fears losing his/her job or is dissatisfied
with his/her current employmnt situation? Who doesn’t know someone
who is considering a move to a new career and would benefit from talking
to someone already in that profession?
According to recent Wall Street Journal survey
of readers who completed a career transition, 94% used networking as their
primary
search method. Survey respondents reported networking for industry
information, networking to locate job leads, networking to locate productive
recruiting firms, networking to learn how to prepare for a particular interview...
They even networked to establish their network.
The fact is people in our pews who are in the midst
of a career transition are 100% in need of a network - which we as a community
can provide.
To organize the St. Francis community to help our parishioners
create an even more productive network, the Career Ministry Team asks that
you consider providing us your contact information and a few words about
how you are willing to help.
We promise to keep your information confidential and only
searchable by our Career Ministry Team. In the future, when someone from
the parish contacts us for networking assistance and their situation is
one which matches the information you provide, we will contact you to determine
your availability.
Then, to help our parishioners, you may perhaps:
-
Assist a person to understand your company or organization
before his/her interview there...
-
Share the pros and cons of your job with someone considering
your profession...
-
Help someone understand your industry or profession, its
trends and where the opportunities exist...
-
Share any information that may help an un- or under-employed
parishioner...
The fact is that networking WORKS and the information
you share may make THE difference between Job or No Job
for a fellow parishioner.
To get started, just fill in the form below. A moment
of your time today may be the answer to someone’s prayer tomorrow. Now,
more than ever, we need each other.
(If you are un- or under-employed and would like to
use the Career Network, we will announce that phase of the program in coming
weeks.)
Thank you,
The Career Ministry Team
