• -Favorite things: Everything was excellent; things I have never done.

• -Favorite things: daily Mass, I grew closer to god. Crafts, I learned new things.

• -I had very much fun this week. It is something incredible.

• -Favorite things: Truly, they were all magnificent, but the one that called my attention the most was fishing.

• -Favorite things: To have fellowship with other families and especially the Eucharist. To walk and go in the boat.

• -Favorite things: The relaxing time, new friends, Fr Tom preaching, aquatic activities.
• -Changes: One more daily talk with testimonies.
• Some time for our family alone to talk about our particular circumstances and needs.

• -Favorite things: Mass is always the top of all activities, Marian celebration and healing prayer services were great. I grew closer to God in a very unique and personal relation. Arts and crafts.

-I had some very beautiful experiences and met wonderful people. Fr. Tom is one in a million.

-For the first time in years I took part in the Lord’s supper after reconciliation.

-Favorite things: Arts and crafts, Bible study, making Rosaries, the Rosary around the campfire.

• -Favorite things: Would you believe the "Bible Study Group"?
• -The Masses were very joyous and wonderful music reaching down to my soul.

• -Everyone was very friendly. Family time is important.

• -Favorite things: Bible study, fishing and family time.
• -Changes: It’s great the way it is.

• -Favorite things: Bible class, prayer service and the music at mass.

• -Favorite things: Circle time, water front, Mass, lunch time and dinner.

• -Favorite things: Mass and Bible study.

-Favorite things: Mass, Praise/worship, I liked the schedule change this year.

• -Less focus on programming and more on relationships.
• -Favorite things: Reconciliation at the waterfront was great. Mass, praise and worship.

• -Favorite activities: Helping with peer group activities, fishing and the lake.

• -I grew closer to God through confession and Mass.
• -Favorite things: We loved our family. Pontoon boat was super. Having time to just sit and relax and talk to people. Family session.

• Favorite things: Church, boat rides and the cake.

• -A great year. I really experienced a lot of love with my family. All of them.
• -Favorite things: The music was great and I loved the Bible study group.

• Favorite things: Music. Father Tom. Salad bar. Food overall was good.

• -Everything flowed well. Very much fun this week. 

• Some of best times are outdoors late at night for relationship building.

• My favorite thing about camp this year was the Healing Service. I really feel healed!

• -Favorite things: Be able to meet and grow close to a diverse age group.

• -Favorite things: I love nature a lot and it was great to be close to nature.

• -Favorite things: Praying the topics. The volunteers were excellent.

• -Favorite things: Hanging out with the NYC kids.

• -Favorite things: to pray outside in the free air, to play and participate in groups, fishing and being able to see the woods.

     Families come from great distances for a week of fun and spiritual growth at Camp Aldersgate in Ohio.  Family Camp 2004 was attended by over 100 enthusiastic people of all ages this past August.  With the assistance of Holy Family Ministries, an Ann Arbor based ministries with ties to: St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Ann Arbor,  MI; and Christ the KingCatholic Church, Ann Arbor, MI; and The Oblates of St. Francis de Sales, Toledo-Detroit Province.  With the assistance of Holy Family Ministries at risk families traveled from as far as New York City to participate in the family life development program. 
     The week provided an opportunity for families to experience and enjoy the spiritual guidance of Fr. Tom Helfrich, daily mass, reconciliation, prayers, worship, healing services, and interacting with host volunteer families all in the background of an outdoor recreational setting.   It was a tremendous blessing to witness so many hearts grow more deeply in love with Jesus throughout the week.
     The generosity of our many benefactors has allowed Holy Family Ministries to offer the program for the past 10 years.  For many, family camp is the only opportunity to travel out of New York City, and enjoy waterfront activities like swimming, boating and fishing, as well as sports and nature.  What a great thrill to share the smiles of children and adults as they participate in all the wonderful activities. 
     This years Family Camp was such a success that Holy Family Ministries and Fr.
